FAQs
How long does Botox last?
Botox lasts approximately 3-4 months with full correction.
How many units do I need (botox)?
The FDA recommended dose is 64 units of botox (Crows feet-24 units, Frown lines- 20 units, and Forehead lines 20 units). Of course each treatment is personalized to individual anatomy, and area being treated but typically you can expect a recommended full correction of 64 units. This is when best results are seen.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
The sensation experienced during laser hair removal varies from person to person, and it’s often described as a mild discomfort rather than pain. Most clients report feeling a sensation similar to the snapping of a rubber band against the skin. However, advancements in laser technology have led to devices with built-in cooling mechanisms that help minimize discomfort during the procedure. It’s essential to communicate openly with your laser technician about your comfort level during the treatment. They can adjust settings or provide additional cooling measures to enhance your experience. Additionally, many clients find that any momentary discomfort is well worth the long-term benefits of reduced hair growth.
How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?
The number of laser hair removal treatments varies based on factors like hair type, color, treatment area, and methods used previously to remove the hair. On average, most clients require 3-7 sessions for optimal results. Your personalized treatment plan will be discussed during the initial consultation at Holly Scott Aesthetics.
What’s the difference in Botox and filler?
Botox addresses dynamic wrinkles by relaxing muscles, while dermal fillers add volume to specific areas, reducing the appearance of static wrinkles and enhancing facial features. The combination of both can achieve a comprehensive facial rejuvenation. Consult with a qualified professional to determine the best approach for your aesthetic goals.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate collagen production, improving skin texture and reducing the appearance of fine lines. Optimal results are often achieved with a series of treatments, creating a cumulative and lasting effect.
